After School Music

Welcome to a new school year! We are proud to offer this musical enrichment opportunity for our
3rd, 4th and 5th Graders this year. This is an instructionally-based group which will require
dedication and commitment by the students. The nature of these group is performance-oriented,
and attendance is vital to success. The only costs is the purchase of a Broadview Singers Chorus
t-shirt (informal uniform) and the young performers tuxedo (formal uniform) for tailor-made for boys
and girls.
All children who want to be in chorus must audition. If a student decides to drop out from chorus,
he/she cannot return since lessons taught during practice cannot be recreated for those who are
absent. This is also why attendance is extremely important. Please help your child make every
effort to attend! Monthly calendars will be given out at practices and will also be available on the
school website.
DO NOT handle you and your child's decision to be apart of chorus lightly, as it is a big commitment.
Take time to sit and discuss with your child if they would like to be involved in an chorus.
Patrol duty or teacher aide duty will not interfere with ensemble practices. Once patrol posts
assignments are completed, the student may report to chorus without penalty.
BROADVIEW SINGERS: Meets on each Thursday from 4:00pm to 5:00pm in the music room. There
will be approximately four major performances this school year. Members will learn vocal
techniques, repertoire, and showmanship as well as have possible opportunities for dramatic parts.
DYNAMIC DOLPHIN JUNIOR CHOIR: Meets on each Thursday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in the music
room. There will be approximately four major performances this school year. Members will learn
